Macleod Pharmaceuticals, Inc., introduces IntraCell, a new approach to wound management.
Macleod Pharmaceuticals, Inc., introduces IntraCell, a new approach to wound management. IntraCell is a sterile, hydrophilic wound dressing consisting of Maltodextran NF powder containing 1 percent ascorbic acid. Upon application to an open wound, IntraCell quickly mixes with the wound fluids to create a vapor permeable protective film barrier, the company says. This Natural Bandage adheres to the tissue, protecting the wound from outside contamination while promoting a healing environment for new cell growth below the surface. IntraCell, both bacteriostatic and bactericidal, has been clinically proven to promote faster healing and vascularization while minimizing scarring, the company says. IntraCell is indicated for use with new and chronic wounds in both small and large animals.
