In a dvm360® interview, Fetch Charlotte faculty member Patrick Mahaney, VMD, CVA, CVJ, president of California Pet Acupuncture & Wellness Inc and chief veterinary officer of Pure Dog Food, explains scenarios in which he uses acupuncture, plus how this works best when complemented with other therapeutics.
The following is a partial transcript of the video.
Patrick Mahaney, VMD, CVA, CVJ: A lot of dogs get arthritis, either early on in life or during their adult or senior year. So I use acupuncture mostly to help manage some of the discomfort that they have, to get energy moving better around their body.
