Vetspecs VSM 5 and VSM 6 multi-parameter surgical monitors include the proprietary Body Temperature Management System to prevent hypothermia in small animals during anesthesia. The system uses the patients core body temperature to turn on and turn off the warming pads that maintain target temperature. The VSM 6 includes End Tidal Co2 functions employing the advanced side-stream method, which has a fast response and is free of tube-clogging moistures.
