Veterinary-Exclusive CBD Product

Video

Phyto Animal Health recently released a concentrated version of its Vitality product that is only available to veterinarians.

In addition to its public Vitality product, Phyto Animal Health recently released a concentrated version that is only available to veterinarians: Vitality 1700 mg CBD Oral Concentrate. The oral concentrate, says Liz Hughston, MEd., RVT, CVT, VTS (SAIM, ECC), is designed to be used for acute pain situations. It may be applicable for preoperative, postoperative, and trauma pain, as well as possibly for pot toxicity, she and Stephen F. Cital, RVT, SRA, RLAT, VTS-Lab Animal, explain. Both Hughston and Cital serve as Board Members for Phyto Animal Health.

CBD can actually reduce the “high feeling” people or animals get from THC, Hughston adds. Because CBD and THC compete for the same receptors, Vitality 1700 mg CBD Oral Concentrate can reduce the psychoactivity; Hughston says this is a potentially very interesting avenue to use this product for.
