The University of Tennessee CVM experiments with a new student resource.

The stress of veterinary school can be daunting—so daunting that one campus is experimenting with new student resource. The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine is currently holding a weekly class that teaches mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) techniques. The eight-week class focuses on alleviating daily stress, depression, anxiety and several other conditions aggravated by stress through meditation. But unlike zone-out meditation, MBSR is more about being fully present to what is happening.
