Inactive clients mean decreased pet health and practice revenue. To bring back absent clients, the team at Westmonte Animal Clinic in Altamonte Springs, Fla., used its computer software to generate a list of pet owners who hadn't visited the practice in the past 18 months.

"We sent a mailing to these clients to reintroduce our services," says office manager Linda Reiss. "In that letter we included certain timely specials, payment options, personal clinic information, and a small discount for an office visit. The amount of income generated was 10 times the amount of money spent on the effort."
