Top Age-Related Issues in Pets

Heidi Lobprise, DVM, DAVDC, veterinary dental specialist at Main Street Veterinary Hospital and Dental Clinic in Flower Mound, Texas, says a lot of age-related pet health issues are due to organ dysfunction.

One of the primary age-related issues for cats is kidney disease. For dogs, Dr. Lobprise says, it’s sometimes related to weight—obesity can cause problems with diabetes and osteoarthritis.
