In an interview at the 2023 Fetch dvm360 conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, faculty member Roger Layman, AIA NCARB, managing principal, RL Architecture PLLC, explained how important building a trusted team is for getting started in your first hospital design project. He offered tips for those considering new construction, renovation, or expansion.

Roger Layman, AIA NCARB: Find the experts. Surround yourself with a good team. You're going to need a good real estate agent, a good banker, a good attorney, a good architect, a good builder. So I think it's got to be build your team first [and] set your goals for what you need.
