Dani McVety, DVM, co-founder of Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, talks about how she thinks creatively when it comes to euthanasia at her veterinary hospice. With her veterinary hospice, she has to go into the home where there may be poor lighting or no one else to there to assist you, which means she has to get creative.
She makes it a point to not negate the client experience and says your end goal is relief of pain and suffering for the pet and relief of guilt and sorrow for the pet owner.
