The Wide Range of Uses for Capnography

Capnography and interpreting the capnograph has a broad application when used correctly, says Khursheed Mama, DVM, DACVAA, professor of veterinary anesthesiology at Colorado State University.

The capnograph can tell you if your equipment is malfunctioning and if your patient is having trouble, Dr. Mama says. It even helps with cardiac arrest and resuscitation, as well as with smaller patients.
