- Specification, Safety, and Specialized equipment: Make sure you have your architect define and specify the products being used.
- Manufacturer and Materials: Tie the materials and manufacturing together to almost have a join warranty between the two, which Adney says is a great way to go.
- Aesthetics and Appearance: Make sure you clearly define what you're looking for with your contractor when it comes to design.
- Referrals and References: Make sure your contractor will do what needs to get done.
- Timing and Testing: Downtime is loss of revenue, so work with your contractor on how long the construction will take.
