Managing age-related disease starts with regular screenings to ensure there aren’t any problems with organ function, proper physical exams, and education for pet owners on how to watch for symptoms and changes. When a veterinarian and a pet owner start seeing some of those changes, Dr. Lobprise says, that’s when adjustments need to be made.
