Shadi Ireifej, DVM, DACVS, shares the feedback he has received on VetTriage and how he aims to increase its inclusivity

Shadi Ireifej, DVM, DACVS, VetTriage founder, owner, and chief medical officer, told dvm360 in an interview about the wonderful feedback he has received thus far for VetTriage.

In honor of Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, Dr Ireifej also asked the veterinary community for advice on how to spread the word on the available Spanish-speaking veterinary professionals at the company.

The following is a partial transcript of the video.

Shadi Ireifej, DVM, DACVS: The feedback from it is overwhelmingly positive. I mean, we get emails throughout the day from both our partners thanking us for the work that we do and pet owners.

There's certainly a difference, a cultural difference perhaps, geographic difference, with spreading the word on this between English-speaking pet owners and Spanish-speaking pet owners. Obviously, we are always trying to spread the word about our platform, regardless of what language you speak, regardless of what kind of pet you own, regardless of where you're located in the world...So if there's anybody out there watching or listening to this that feels that they have a more unique avenue to reach Spanish-speaking communities for a service that is as important as this in the veterinary field, I'd love to hear what the suggestions are.
