The inspiration to becoming a practice manager

Matthew McGlasson, DVM, CVM, the 2022 Veterinary Heroes winner for Practice Management, explains why he pursued practice management, plus why it is important to him.

During an interview with dvm360® at the Veterinary Hero's awards gala, part of the Fetch dvm360® Conference in Kansas City, Matthew McGlasson, DVM, CVPM, explained what he saw that inspired him to become a certified practice manager.

The following is a partial transcript of the video.

Matthew McGlasson, DVM, CVPM: I saw a lot of need for that in practice. I saw a lot of practices where the culture wasn't healthy, the people were strong, but the culture was not healthy. The people in the practice were not supported like they should be by management.
