Talking to Clients About the Health of Aging Pets

When veterinarians are talking to clients about their aging pets, it’s important to start the discussion at the beginning of life, says Heidi Lobprise, DVM, DAVDC, veterinary dental specialist at Main Street Veterinary Hospital and Dental Clinic in Flower Mound, Texas.

This way, Dr. Lobprise says, when a pet gets to the relative age of being a senior, the veterinarian and owner can already be watching for signs that are precursors to disease.
