IMEX™ Veterinary, Inc. introduces suture anchors designed to be screwed into bone and act as insertion points for sutures used in reconstruction of ligaments, joint capsules and tendons.

In addition, the anchors can be used with a variety of other periarticular applications, the company says. The suture anchors are available in 4 mm and 4.7 mm diameters with each size available in 6 mm and 10 mm lengths.

The anchors are applied with a unique tapered driver that simplifies handling and application of anchors. The driver atraumatically releases the anchor after insertion into a pre-drilled hole, resulting in superior anchor-bone interface, the company says.

IMEX™ suture anchors are engineered with a smooth-hole transition to minimize potential damage to suture, the company adds.
