Anivac Corp. releases the Lynx Animal Cleaning System for pre-and post-surgical cleaning. The Lynx system reduces traditional risks of infection associated with current bathing practices, the company says.

The system uses a vacuum wand that probes into animals' coats, where it rests gently against the skin and dispenses a rinse-free solution. Then, it vacuums away the solution and any associated dirt, blood and residue. This method of bottom-up cleansing cuts time and resources needed to clean an animal by about 75 percent, virtually eliminates the mess associated with current practices and results in a clean animal that is substantially free of moisture.
