Summit Industries unveils ImageFirst

Summit Industries introduces ImageFirst-a comprehensive program by InnoVet radiography that enables veterinarians to get the clearest X-ray images for diagnosis, the company says.

Summit Industries introduces ImageFirst-a comprehensive program by InnoVetradiography that enables veterinarians to get the clearest X-ray imagesfor diagnosis, the company says. "Getting good film images allows veterinariansto 'make the right call,' the first time, more often, ultimately steppingup the level of service," says company Chief Executive Officer JimK. Walsh. "Just as important, ImageFirst stands alone in the industryas a facilitator for excellence in radiology, bolstering the doctor-patient-ownerrelationship." Summit Industries also markets InnoVet and InnoVet Selectradiographic systems, developed as the industry's first X-ray systems dedicatedto veterinary needs. The models come with fully integrated tables, tubestands and generators. InnoVet Select HF, the company's top-notch, highfrequency model, is Summit's best-selling radiographic system, the companysays. In addition, the InnoVet QCP automatic film processor ensures consistentquality images, the company says. It's a "one-stop shop" for veterinaryradiography, Walsh says.

The ImageFirst program comprises:

A referenceguide with recommendations and requirements for X-ray room and darkroomdesign.

A positioning guide that helps ensure patients are properly positionedfor the X-ray exam.

Quality control test tools and procedures to providemethods for monitoring equipment performance.

A troubleshooting guidethat demonstrates problem images with solutions in non-technical language.

Log sheets to help track an individual patient's exposure as well as equipmentquality control
