Splint application: Step 7
Part seven of this step-by-step veterinary pictorial tutorial shows how to use newspaper to make spica, meta and back splints.

After splinting male dogs, make sure the prepuce is not compromised. Padding on each side of the prepuce and cutting tape away may be required.
Check the color and warmth of toes for perfusion concerns, and before discharge teach the owner to assess these once or twice daily.
