Specialty veterinary referral group recognized by Inc. Magazine
BluePearl Veterinary Partners among top 100 companies noted for job creation.
Since 2008, specialty group BluePearl Veterinary Partners has added 523 jobs, earning it the No. 36 spot on Inc. Magazine's list of top 100 job creators in the United States. BluePearl employs more than 1,200 people, including approximately 250 veterinarians at 30 referral and emergency hospitals in 12 states.
The December issue of Inc. Magazine focused on job creation and sought to measure how many jobs a company added from 2008 to 2011. It also ranked BluePearl as No. 1,695 out of 5,000 of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S. “We’re thankful to be able to provide people with opportunities for employment, especially when our country has struggled with job growth since the recession began,” said BluePearl Darryl Shaw in a company release. “Our success and growth have been directly related to those employees and as our company grows, so do their opportunities.”
BluePearl opened its newest veterinary hospital in Kansas City on Dec. 3. The hospital will employ three doctors, seven veterinary technicians and three customer service representatives, according to a hospital source. The newest hospital, located at 139 N.E. 91st St., will offer 24-hour services starting in 2013. The hospital will offer endoscopy, radiography, CT scans, MRIs and sonograms. It is the third BluePearl hospital in the Kansas City area.
