A recent survey shows that a majority of small business owners don't know which agencies can help their business. In fact, 93 percent of those surveyed have not worked with the federal government to receive assistance.

A recent survey shows that a majority of small business owners don't know which agencies can help their business. In fact, 93 percent of those surveyed have not worked with the federal government to receive assistance. Here's more:

29% say local officials are the most innovative in helping small business. 4% say Congress.

28% say healthcare costs and employee benefits are one of the biggest challenges to profitability. 24% say finding and retaining qualified employees, and 6% say high employee wages.

41% say the Republican party is more understanding of small business needs. 22% say the Democratic party. 27% say neither party.
