PCI Medical has developed a small, ductless safety cabinet for use with chemotherapy drugs. Exposure to chemotherapy drugs is most often in the form of gases or fumes. These gases pass right through HEPA filters, which are designed purely for particulants. The G20CH cabinet incorporates a HEPA filter for particulant and two layers of activated carbon media to trap gases. The compact countertop unit is simple to operate and costs a fraction of the traditional large cabinets, according to the company.
