Relaxation exercise

Article

Use this tool to ease your burgeoning stress level and help bring balance to your life.

  • Realize on the count of three you’ll relax and release your stress.
  • Take a deep breath in from your nose. Release it slowly from your mouth and close your eyes.
  • Press your thumb and forefinger together to form a circle (an "OK" sign). When you count, "Three," feel your whole body relax. Count slowly "One ... two ... three." When you reach "three," relax.
  • Release yourself into a deep state of relaxation. Release your stress, relax your muscles, and go limp like a rag doll.
  • Say positive statements or just sit quietly.
  • To reawaken, release your fingers and open your eyes.
