David Bartram, BVetMed, FRCVS, director of outcomes research for Zoetis, talks about the different ways the veterinary profession is changing.

He says the veterinary profession is seeing more consolidation, an increasing number of women professionals, an increasing interest in companion animal work and an increasing interest in the quality of life veterinarians expect to have. The technology change is also exponential, Dr. Bartram says. He says veterinarians need to be open and receptive to that because their clients will start to become more aware of the new technologies available to them.
