September 5, 2013

Recall affects 3.5-lb bags of White Meat Chicken and Whole Barley Recipe.

A single production run of Purina ONE beyOnd Our White Meat Chicken and Whole Barley Recipe adult dry dog food was voluntarily recalled after a bag of product was found contaminated with Salmonella. The St. Louis-based Nestlé Purina PetCare Co. says the recall affects a limited number of 3.5-pound bags with “best by” date of Oct. 2014 and production code 31071083.

At this time, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration says, no Salmonella-related illness has been reported as a result of the recalled product.
