Smart Puppy contains antioxidants to support a healthy immune system, calcium for strong bones and teeth and a patented fiber source that is gentle on a puppy's digestive system.
Iams conducted a study to determine the influence of DHA, studying puppies that ate the food before weaning (getting nutrition through their mothers) and after weaning through diet. Puppies that received enhanced levels on DHA outperformed puppies that received normal levels of the nutrient.
