Spectrum Surgical Instruments has developed a dental kit for use in routine diagnostic and prophy procedures. The kit was developed by a leading veterinary dental practitioner and contains five instruments, the company says. Included in the pack is one of each of the following: a no. 4 mouth mirror that is 78 in. diameter, a probe/explorer to gauge pocket depth and detect fissures, a Towner-Jacquette scaler, which is particularly effective in scaling interproximal and cervical areas of anterior teeth, a Jacquette scaler for interproximal application and the McCall scaler for posterior use.
