Porta-Vet now distributes the Sterne HFJ 90/20 Icon, a portable X-ray machine that is compatible with film and digital output. The anatomical technique selection allows the technician to select the anatomy part for the equine or small animal and the machine automatically sets the technique.
The Porta-Vet product includes dual distance lasers, which preset to 26 inches for accurate focal distance on equine exposures.
The adjustable collimator timer allows activation of the collimator and lasers from the hand switch. The LCD screen provides system status and diagnostic information. The total weight of the unit is 23 pounds and is packaged in a padded carrying case. The unit is available from Porta-Vet with a three-year warranty.
