Play, pooch. Play! Good dog.

Encourage playful pups to snooze the veterinary visit away with this quick tip.

We ask owners to make sure their puppies get plenty of playtime before they come in for their visit to expend some of puppies' exuberant energy. This 10-week-old week old Bernese Mountain dog came in after a big romp with his housemates.

And since it was around naptime, he fell right to sleep in the veterinarian's lap.

The doctor started out by giving lots of petting and found he was receptive to lying in her lap. So she was able to perform her entire exam with the pooch relaxed and sleeping!
