We keep a chart based on our monthly budget on the wall in the back hall of the hospital. Each day's revenue is posted with day two receipts added to day one, day three added to days one and two, and so on. If the cumulative total is above the budget line at the end of the month, the team splits 10 percent of the additional funds. For example, if we're $10,000 above the budget line, they split $1,000. This has motivated our team to watch daily practice income, and team members have a better attitude during our busy days. Their reward is handed out at our monthly team meeting.
