According to Bonnie Wright, DVM, DACVAA, CEO of Mistral Vet, physical medicine (nonpharmacological therapies) should be used with every patient. With rational use, every patient needs some type of physical medicine. Physical medicine involves touch, welfare, and motion, while simultaneously reducing things like edema and pain.
Dr. Wright says greater awareness of moving animals through space with their own volition, or with our help, is very good medicine and should be applied across the board.
