The explosion on BP's Deepwater Horizon killed 11 people on April 20 and mushroomed into the greatest man-made natural disaster in U.S. history. Millions of gallons of oil spewed into the Gulf of Mexico as the disaster widened. This satellite photo shows the plume of oil that threatened Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida.
