Dr. Lori Hess built her dream hospital and documented the process. Here's a look at the construction of her exotic hospital from start to finish.

Installing cabinetry was the most frustrating part of the construction process, according to Dr. Hess. The custom cabinets had to be fit for an exotic practice, which featured smaller exam tables, surgery tables, and tub sinks. “All of the equipment in this hospital was chosen to fit exotics,” Dr. Hess says. After multiple delays, the expensive cabinets were delivered just days before the practice was set to open.
