New wipe pouches can make veterinary practice disinfection more eco-friendly

Article

Rescue products are known in the animal health industry for their effectiveness in killing pathogens.

Virox Technologies, the developer of eco-friendly disinfectant chemistries, has launched Rescue canister refill wipe pouches to help animal care professionals clean and disinfect more sustainably.

With 90% less plastic than the traditional wipe canister, the new pouches are designed to be inserted into existing Rescue wipe canisters, allowing customers to reuse their canisters instead of throwing them away. Available throughout the United States in a 6-pack format, the product reduces packaging, making it more cost-effective for customers.

“Because veterinary clinics and animal hospitals use a large volume of wipes on a daily basis, the introduction of Rescue Refill Wipes can reduce the amount of single-use plastic waste generated by an animal care facility,” said Randy Pilon, founder and CEO of Virox Technologies, in a company news release.

Rescue disinfectant products are produced in a LEED Gold-certified facility, and are known in the veterinary industry for their effectiveness in killing pathogens while remaining gentle on users and the environment. Powered by accelerated hydrogen peroxide, Rescue wipes are used in veterinary hospitals across the United States. These wipes have been tested and proven to kill a broad spectrum of microorganisms, including harder to kill pathogens such as parvovirus, according to Virox.
