Nestle Purina has unveiled PurinaCare pet health insurance, the first insurance product offered under a major pet care brand. PurinaCare pet health insurance is in the final stages of development and will feature two simple plans with a variety of monthly premium and deductible options.
Both plans will provide coverage for illness, injuries and accidents, hospitalization, surgery, prescription medications, and hereditary conditions. The PurinaCare Plus Preventive Care plan also covers customary annual costs of routine vaccinations, annual exams, flea and heartworm control, spaying and neutering, and routine dentistry.
PurinaCare allows pet owners to visit the veterinarian of their choice, and the company reimburses clients directly for all covered claims.
