PLEASANTON, CALIF. — Nellcor introduces the NPB- 40, an all-digital handheld pulse oximeter.
The product is designed to give veterinarians an accurate, reliable and inexpensive way to measure patient's oxygen saturation and pulse rate, the company says.
The new version of the NPB-40 oximeter includes Nellcor's latest OxiMax advanced digital signal processing technology, alarms and backlit display. The OxiMax technology provides better monitoring performance during difficult conditions, such as patient motion, low-pulse perfusion or electrical interference, the company adds.

The veterinary version comes with a specific veterinary sensor.
The oximeter is battery-operated and has a three-year warranty.
