The veterinary student environment can be quite stressful, says David Bartram, BVetMed, FRCVS, director of outcomes research for Zoetis, and veterinary students need to be aware of this.
He says it's highly important for students to obtain a balance between their work as students and their life outside of school. Universities are also extremely competitive, he says, so it's doubly important to cast wide social nets to find people who will support you and help you sustain good quality of life.
