Animus Medica International has launched its first peer-reviewed health education library for pet owners, distributed by veterinarians.The library is designed to supplement a veterinarians office diagnosis and instructions with unbiased, easy-to-read information that can be referred to repeatedly by the client at home. The publisher believes the library will help improve compliance. There is no charge to pet owners or veterinarians.Topics addressed in the first volume include canine arthritis, dental procedures, parasiticides, general surgery, weight control, asthma and allergies. The publisher says each topic is researched by a team of medical writers and peer-reviewed by a board of veterinarians. Each four-color booklet is professionally designed and contains essential medical information, accurate illustrations and instructions to reinforce the office consultation. The booklets are 12 pages.
