Abbott Laboratories offers CliniCare®, a canine or feline liquid diet that is nutritionally complete and balanced to promote optimal recovery, the company says.

Seriously ill and convalescing patients often cannot, or will not, eat on their own, creating a nutritional gap that threatens their recovery. CliniCare helps bridge that gap, providing serious nutrition for critical times, the company adds.

Unlike semi-solid or solid foods that must be mixed with water to form non-sterile gruels, CliniCare is sterile and ready-to-feed without measuring, the company says. Because no water is added, CliniCare retains its nutrient density, giving patients more of what they need, the company adds.
