CANTON, OHIO — Mary Beth Leininger, DVM, has been named the vice president of veterinary relations for The Hartville Group and its subsidiary, Petsmarketing.com.
Leininger, who was elected as the first woman to serve as president of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), served organized veterinary medicine in other capacities. Most recently, she directed the North American Veterinary Medical Education Consortium (NAVMEC).
In her new role, Leininger will expand Hartville's efforts in promoting pet health insurance to veterinarians and pet owners, the company says.
