Cows and heifers should receive three 2-ml doses of J5 Shield at three-week intervals, the company says. The last dose should be given two weeks before calving.

Cows should be revaccinated annually, the company recommends.

J5 Shield contains the proprietary SuprImm adjuvant, which uses a water-in-oil-in-water emulsion process designed to prolong the release of antigens for more thorough immune stimulation.

The product is labeled for use in cattle six months of age or older. It is available in 10-, 25- and 50-dose bottles.
