IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. announces its collaboration with Veterinary Software Associates, LLC to introduce Veterinary Pharmacy Reference (VPR) software to animal health professionals. VPR is the first interactive formulary software in veterinary medicine and is designed to assist veterinarians in pharmaceuticals management, the company says. VPR identifies drug interactions and possible side effects, calculates correct dosages and generates drug information sheets for staff or pet owner education. It also builds a retrievable client/patient history of all prescriptions, the company says. In addition to working on a Windows computer, the software also will be integrated with Cornerstone, the companys flagship computer system for veterinary practices.
