IDEXX introduces 12-test package

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. introduces a convenient 12-test individual chemistry packages for the VetTest Chemistry Analyzer. The IDEXX chemistry analyzer, which uses dry-slide technology, is the veterinary industry standard for accuracy, test menu breadth and flexibility, the company says. The new 12-test packaging option provides veterinarians and their teams convenient access to a full menu of chemistries for individualized patient care. The VetTest analyzer offers 21 individual chemistries, as well as species-specific and age-specific reference ranges, providing the veterinarian with the exact information necessary for each patient. The chemistries available include: ALB, ALKP, ALT, AMYL, AST, BUN, Ca2+, CHOL, CK, CREA, GGT, GLU, LDH, LIPA, Mg2+, NH3, PHOS, TBIL, TP, TRIG and URIC.In the wake of a new agreement with Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. (OCD), a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, IDEXX is developing and will introduce a next-generation chemistry analyzer for the veterinary market based on the OCD dry-slide technology. OCD will supply IDEXX with the slide consumables used in both the new instrument and the VetTest Chemistry Analyzer.
