IDEXX acquires ezyVet

June 7, 2021
dvm360 Staff

The acquisition includes a full range of cloud-based practice information management system (PIMS) options, and helps raise the standard of patient care, staff productivity, client communication, and beyond.

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc recently announced its acquisition of ezyVet—an innovative, affordable, and customizable practice information management system (PIMS). This acquisition will help to enhance the company's cloud-based software and technology solutions, thus elevating the standard of patient care, boosting practice efficiency, and fostering effective client communication.

"ezyVet is a truly impressive cloud-native software solution that continues to transform the industry and the software experience for veterinary practitioners. Their growth has been very strong, but the true testament to what they've created is their industry-leading customer satisfaction," says Jay Mazelsky, IDEXX president and chief executive officer, in an organizational release.

"We greatly admire the way ezyVet enables veterinarians to focus on what matters most: caring for patients and growing their business. We are pleased to welcome ezyVet to the IDEXX family and look forward to bringing this platform into the IDEXX customer community,” adds Mazelsky.

The acquisition also allows IDEXX to facilitate a wide array of cloud-based PIMS options to veterinary hospitals, universities, and corporate groups for both general practice and specialty clinics.

Additionally, this unique asset lets customers independently select the IDEXX PIMS of their choice while continuing to utilize the elite support, training resources, and advanced software functionality already available.

“We are very much looking forward to our future with IDEXX,” says Hadleigh Bognuda, ezyVet chief executive officer, and founder. “We are thrilled to pair our industry-leading technology with IDEXX’s scale and commitment to innovation.”

As part of the IDEXX acquisition, Vet Radar—a mobile-responsive whiteboarding solution and electronic treatment sheet company—will be joining the ezyVet family. Currently, no details regarding the agreement are available to the public.
