Keep everyone in the know with this reader tip.

At our clinic, we laminated color-coordinated index cards with each doctor's name. We paper-clip these to the appropriate charts and place the charts in the file holder by each exam room so the doctors know which room is waiting for them. When we enter the room with the chart, we leave the index card in the file holder so staff members know with a quick glance which doctor is in that exam room.
