In our mixed-animal practice, we handle births and prolapses under less than ideal conditions. To keep our work area clean and dry, we lay heavy-duty shower curtain liners on the ground. They are inexpensive (about $1.50) and sturdier than plastic bags are and can be laundered, although we choose to dispose of ours when we are done.
