Idea Exchange: Our bring-bottles-back recycling campaign
This clinic has created a program to recycle and reuse prescriptions bottles.

Most of our clients routinely refill their prescriptions, obtaining new bottles each time. To decrease the number of bottles that get thrown out, we encourage our clients to bring their empty bottles back. We sterilize the bottles in a chlorhexidine solution for 15 minutes, let them dry, and then reuse them. Our clients receive a $2 credit for each bottle they return. They have eagerly jumped aboard this new campaign.
