Idea Exchange: Let picky cats pick their own food
Try this reader tip that involves offering clients a sample food pack for feline diets.

Since we are a feline-only practice, we have to deal with some of the pickiest eaters. For a small fee, we offer sample food packs that contain samples of Royal Canin, Hill's Pet Nutrition, and Nestlé Purina diets, so cats can choose which diet they prefer. The packs include a cup of dry food and a can of each brand, literature about each diet, and a checklist that owners can use to keep track of which foods their cats eat. We have seen increased compliance with these packs.
