Idea Exchange: Keep stain where it belongs-not on your fingers
Clothespins may be just the ticket to cleaner staining.

We use clothespins to hold onto slides when we stain them. Our hands stay clean, and we don't lose slides in jars. We keep track of which side the sample is on by writing "up" on one side of the clothespin.
