When my husband and I practiced large-animal medicine, odors from patients sometimes lingered in our ambulatory truck. Since my husband cannot tolerate the scent of air fresheners, we placed a brown paper bag with freshly ground coffee beans under the truck seats. The coffee absorbs a lot of the odor and makes the truck's interior smell like an espresso bar.
